Our 22Bet Malaysia Review: Rated & Ranked (August 2026)

22Bet is one of the more established international sportsbooks accepting Malaysian players, and one of the few where the platform underneath will feel familiar if you've used 1xBet; they run on the same betting engine, which we'll get into below. You can register from Malaysia, bet on sports and esports, and play the casino, including crash games like Aviator, or try your luck in the most comprehensive scratch card section we have found.

In this 22Bet review, you'll find what we learned testing the platform with a funded Malaysian account: the licensing situation stated plainly, the bonuses and their catches, the banking methods that actually work here, and where 22Bet falls short, including one feature it's missing that competitors offer.

22Bet Registration: How to Sign Up in Malaysia

The 22Bet registration process is fast, with three different registration methods available in Malaysia. Some methods require only minimal KYC before you can access your account, which is convenient if you want to look around before committing your details.

22Bet Malaysia Registration Methods

Get registered using one of the three sign-up methods available: By Phone, Full Registration, or Social Networks & Messengers.

22Bet Malaysia registration form with MYRMAX promo code entered and bonus selection showing 620 MYR sports and 7500 MYR casino offers 22Bet's full registration form includes a bonus selection, plus fields for email, name, date of birth, Malaysia as country, MYR currency, and a promo code. Don't forget to choose a bonus and enter a promo code (optional).

If 22Bet feels like the right site for you, complete full KYC there sooner rather than later; it's required for most withdrawal methods, and support is noticeably easier to deal with on a verified account. If you're still comparing sportsbooks, it's reasonable to hold off until you've picked one.

22Bet Bonuses & Promotions

22Bet runs a steady rotation of offers for both new and existing players in Malaysia, including sports betting bonuses, casino offers, and payment-linked deposit bonuses.

22Bet Welcome Bonus

22Bet Malaysia welcome bonus selection screen showing 620 MYR sports betting bonus and 7500 MYR casino welcome package The two welcome offers as they appear at registration. 100% up to RM 620 for sports, or the four-deposit casino package up to RM 7,500 + 150 FS. You can only pick one, and switching later isn't possible once a bonus is credited.

New players in Malaysia choose between two welcome bonuses: a sports betting bonus of 100% up to RM 620, and a casino package up to RM 7,500 + 150 FS. A 100% match means depositing RM 100 gives you RM 200 to play with, while the casino offer is a boosted deposit on your first four deposits, plus free spins each time.

Both bonuses apply to the first deposit and carry wagering requirements, and the requirements differ meaningfully between them. The sports bonus has considerably lighter terms than the casino offer, which is the pattern across most operators, so read the specific terms of whichever you pick before depositing.

Worth knowing: you can decline the bonus entirely. If you'd rather not be bound by wagering requirements, deposit without activating an offer and your money stays withdrawable at any time. For a full comparison of how 22Bet's offers stack up against other operators, see our roundup of the best welcome bonuses in Malaysia.

The 22Bet Casino Welcome Package

22Bet Malaysia casino welcome pack banner showing up to 7500 MYR plus 150 free spins Claim a casino welcome package up to RM 7,500 + 150 free spins, though as the terms below show, reaching it means clearing each stage in sequence.

The RM 7,500 + 150 FS is the maximum amount you can get across four separate deposits, and this is not a single bonus; each stage only unlocks once the previous one is fully wagered.

DepositBonus RateFree SpinsMaximum BonusMinimum Deposit
1st100%30 FSRM 1,500RM 50
2nd50%35 FSRM 1,750RM 75
3rd25%40 FSRM 2,000RM 75
4th25%45 FSRM 2,250RM 75

Note: These are the minimums to qualify for each stage of the bonus, and not the deposit minimum itself. You can deposit smaller amounts on most methods, but anything below RM 50 (or RM 75 for deposits two through four) simply won't trigger that stage's bonus.

Add the four maximums together, and you get the RM 7,500 headline. In practice, reaching it means four separate deposits totaling at least RM 275, each one only credited after the last is cleared.

The wagering is 35x within 7 days, with a RM 25 cap on qualifying bets, so clearing the maximum RM 1,500 first-deposit bonus alone means RM 52,500 of turnover in a week, at no more than RM 25 a spin. That's a demanding requirement, and it's worth knowing before you commit to the full four-deposit chain.

Two mechanics worth understanding before you start:

  • The deposits must come in order, and depositing early breaks the chain: If you deposit again while still wagering the current bonus, the next bonus isn't credited at all.
  • 22Games bets count double toward wagering: a RM 25 bet counts as RM 50 wagered, except on Blackjack. This is the fastest way to clear the requirement, and it isn't mentioned anywhere on 22Bet's own promotions page.

Free spins land only after the deposit bonus itself is cleared, and are credited to specific games: Aloha King Elvis! for the first two deposits, Johnny Cash for the third and fourth. Crypto deposits don't qualify for any part of this bonus.

The 22Bet Sports Welcome Bonus

22Bet RM 620 first deposit bonus for sports betting 22Bet's RM 620 first deposit bonus for sports betting. The sports offer carries lighter wagering than the casino bonus.

The sports welcome bonus is more straightforward than the casino package: 100% up to RM 620 on your first deposit, credited automatically the moment you deposit, unless you've ticked "I do not want any bonuses" during sign-up. The minimum qualifying deposit is just RM 5.

The wagering side is also lighter than the casino offer, but it comes with specific conditions worth knowing before you bet:

  • 5x the bonus amount, wagered entirely from your bonus balance, within 7 days.
  • Accumulators only, as single bets don't count.
  • Each accumulator needs at least 3 selections, and at least 3 of those selections must be priced at 1.40 or higher.
  • Real money and bonus balance are kept separate; you can't top up the bonus wager with your own funds.

Once the wagering requirement is cleared, the remaining bonus funds move into your main account, capped at the original RM 620. Withdrawals stay locked until that requirement is met, and if your bonus balance ever drops below the minimum stake before you finish wagering, the bonus is written off as lost. It's also a one-per-customer offer, tracked by more than just your account. 22Bet checks shared addresses, IPs, and payment details, so opening a second account to claim it twice won't work.

How to Use a 22Bet Bonus

There are three routes to activating a welcome bonus, so pick whichever fits where you are in the process:

  1. During registration, click the bonus you want in the box to the left of the registration fields.
  2. At first deposit, the bonus selection block appears to the left of the deposit page.
  3. From the promotions page, open the offer and activate it there, which also works for every later promotion.

Whichever route you take, the bonus must be active before the qualifying deposit — bonuses aren't applied retroactively to money already deposited.

22Bet Promo Code

New players can enter the promo code MYRMAX during registration to unlock and activate 22Bet's welcome bonuses. The same code applies whether you're claiming the sports offer or the casino package. We cover the code, its exact terms, and the current wagering requirements on our dedicated 22Bet promo code page.

22Bet Promotions for Existing Players

The welcome offer is the start, not the whole story. Recurring promotions during our testing included:

  • Friday Sportsbook Reload Bonus: a deposit match on select Fridays, up to RM 500.
  • Bet Booster: a percentage bonus on accumulators of four legs or more.
  • Cashback offers: for selected players.
  • Pragmatic Play's Drops & Wins: provider-run tournaments and prize drops on eligible slots.
  • Refer-a-friend: points when someone you refer creates an account.

Each promotion carries its own terms and wagering requirements, and some casino offers apply only to specific games, with the terms page on each promotion stating which.

How to Opt In to a 22Bet Promotion

  1. Log in to your account.
  2. Navigate to the promotions page and open the promotion you want.
  3. Click the green "Take Part" button at the top or bottom of the promotion page.
  4. Repeat for every promotion you want; opting into one doesn't activate the others.

Most betting sites label this "Opt In"; 22Bet calls it "Take Part," but it's the same mechanism. Promotions rotate frequently, and some offers are personalized to your account, so checking the promotions page regularly is genuinely worth the habit.

The 22Bet Cashback Program

22Bet Malaysia VIP cashback table showing eight levels from Copper to VIP Status with experience points and cashback percentages 22Bet's own footnote confirms the mechanic: cashback from Copper to Diamond is based on net losses, but VIP Status switches to a percentage of everything wagered. The same basis change we found on 1xBet's cashback ladder.

22Bet runs the same eight-level structure as several BetB2B-powered operators, and the level names and thresholds match what we found on 1xBet almost exactly, which is worth knowing if you already have a cashback tier elsewhere. Every account starts at Copper with 5% cashback, rising a point per level through Bronze, Silver, Golden, Ruby, Sapphire, and Diamond at 11%.

LevelExperience PointsCashback
Copper05%
Bronze300,0006%
Silver1,000,0007%
Golden2,000,0008%
Ruby5,000,0009%
Sapphire15,000,00010%
Diamond25,000,00011%
VIP Status75,000,0000.05%–0.25% per bet

22Bet states the mechanic plainly in its own terms, which saves the guesswork: from Copper to Diamond, cashback is calculated on net losses. At VIP Status, the basis switches to a percentage of everything wagered, win or lose, with the exact rate depending on the game type. The badge changes, but the underlying math doesn't reward volume the way "VIP" implies unless you're playing low-edge table games. Reaching Diamond takes 25 million experience points; VIP Status takes three times that, at 75 million.

22Bet Promo Code Shop

Beyond the standard welcome offers, 22Bet runs a promo shop where you spend Bonus Points earned through play on free bets and free spins. This is a feature worth knowing about since it's unique from a normal bonus, and none of it is time-limited the way most promotions are.

22Bet Malaysia promo code shop showing free bet and free spin tiers redeemable with Bonus Points The promo shop we found offers free bets from 1 to 200 Euro, costing 100 to 17,000 Bonus Points, and free spins in Johnny Cash run from 100 BP for 10 spins up to 900 BP for 100.

Free bets are split into Accumulator and Single Bet tiers, priced identically:

Free Bet ValueBonus Points Cost
€1100 BP
€5500 BP
€101,000 BP
€201,900 BP
€504,600 BP
€1009,000 BP
€20017,000 BP

Free spins work the same way, credited to a specific slot rather than a game of your choice. Johnny Cash was the slot on offer when we checked, running from 100 BP for 10 spins up to 900 BP for 100 spins.

Note the prices here are shown in Euro, not Ringgit, so confirm how that converts on a Malaysian account before assuming the RM equivalent matches what you'd expect. Bonus Points themselves come from regular play rather than deposits, so this shop is really a way to convert loyalty into concrete free bets and spins on your own schedule, rather than waiting for a promotion to appear.

Banking Methods in Malaysia

Banking is where an international sportsbook either works for Malaysians or doesn't, and 22Bet mostly works. The Malaysian Ringgit is a supported account currency, alongside USD, EUR, GBP, and a long list of others, so you can deposit and play in RM without conversion losses. Cryptocurrency is accepted too, and in unusual depth.

22Bet Deposit Methods

We counted 51 deposit methods on our account, and the split matters more than the total: 27 are cryptocurrencies, leaving 8 bank transfer routes and 4 dedicated e-wallets for everything else. The ones that matter locally sit in those smaller categories, with Touch 'n Go, Boost, Skrill, and Skrill 1-Tap as e-wallets, with DuitNow, FPX, Help2Pay, and GrabPay filed under Bank Transfer next to Visa/Mastercard.

22Bet Malaysia deposit page showing 51 payment methods across e-wallets, bank transfer and cryptocurrency The category breakdown tells the real story, with 27 of the 51 methods being cryptocurrency, 8 local e-wallets, and bank routes covering Touch 'n Go, Boost, GrabPay, DuitNow, FPX, and Help2Pay

Both DuitNow and FPX run on national payment rails operated by PayNet, which is why these methods settle almost instantly.

Prepaid cards (including Paysafecard) and offline routes like bank wire are also available for players who prefer not to link an e-wallet or card. If you're comparing wallet options across operators, our e-wallets guide covers which Malaysian wallets work where.

Cryptocurrency Deposits & Withdrawals

27 cryptocurrencies are available for deposits: Bitcoin, Ethereum, Tether, Litecoin, Binance Coin, XRP, Polygon, and the long tail beyond them. Two things make crypto notable at 22Bet rather than a checkbox feature: deposits and withdrawals both work (not all operators allow crypto out), and crypto requires only minimal KYC, which suits players who'd rather not hand over full documentation.

One practical caution from our testing: transfer fees and confirmation times vary enormously between coins. If you're holding something with high network fees, converting to a cheaper chain before transferring can save real money.

How to Deposit on 22Bet

  1. Log in or complete registration first if you're new.
  2. Navigate to the cashier/payment page.
  3. Choose your deposit method and fill in the required details.
  4. Enter the amount, click "Deposit," and confirm the transaction.

One thing to decide before this step: some withdrawal methods require a prior deposit with that same method before they become available for cashing out. If you already know how you'll want to withdraw, deposit with that method from the start and save yourself the workaround later.

Withdrawal Methods

Withdrawal options include several Bank Transfers, Help2Pay, Skrill, and 18 cryptocurrencies, for a total of 23 withdrawal methods on the page we counted. That's a considerably shorter list than the 51 deposit methods, and the gap isn't evenly spread: see below for exactly what drops out.

22Bet Malaysia withdrawal page showing 24 payout methods including Skrill, bank transfer and cryptocurrency Withdrawals thin out sharply compared to deposits, with 24 methods against 51, as only Skrill survives as an e-wallet and DuitNow, FPX, Touch 'n Go, Boost and GrabPay are all absent entirely.

Processing runs from instant to 3 days, depending on the method: e-wallets and crypto are at the fast end, and bank transfers are at the slow end. Small withdrawal fees apply on most methods. In our testing, winnings were paid without issues once wagering requirements were met and the account was verified, which is the real condition to watch: KYC must be complete before most withdrawal routes will process.

How to Withdraw from 22Bet

  1. Log in to the website or in the app.
  2. Navigate to "My Account" and select "Withdraw Funds."
  3. Choose your withdrawal method, remembering that several require a prior deposit with that method.
  4. Enter the amount and confirm the transaction.

Withdrawals vs Deposits: The Gap Malaysian Players Should Know

Withdrawals thin out fast compared to deposits, as we counted 24 methods against 51, and the gap isn't evenly spread. E-wallets drop from 4 options to 1: Skrill is the only one that survives, while Touch 'n Go, Boost, and Skrill 1-Tap are all deposit-only. The same is true of DuitNow, FPX, and GrabPay under Bank Transfer, which is visible on the deposit page, absent here. For a Malaysian player, that narrows the realistic withdrawal routes to Skrill, generic bank transfer, Help2Pay, or crypto. If you're planning ahead, it's worth depositing with whichever of those you intend to withdraw to, since several methods still require using the same route both ways.

Betting Markets & Odds

22Bet started as a sportsbook before adding the casino, and it shows, because the sports section is the deepest part of the platform.

Betting Markets

22Bet Malaysia betting markets for Royale Union Saint-Gilloise vs Bodo-Glimt showing 1,219 total markets across goals, handicap and correct score categories Royale Union Saint-Gilloise vs Bodo-Glimt carried 1,219 markets when we opened it. The icon row breaks it down by category, with 305 goals markets, 206 correct score variants, 163 handicap options, and more, before you've even scrolled past the two main columns.

The general betting markets across lower-tier fixtures are what we would consider extraordinarily wide. Royale Union Saint-Gilloise vs Bodo-Glimt, a lesser-popular Champions League qualifier, carried 1,219 markets, broken into categories: 305 for goals, 206 for correct score, 163 for handicaps, 104 for totals, 68 for time-based markets, and 50 for team-specific totals. The market list itself runs long even in the default view: 1X2, Double Chance, Asian Handicap, Asian Total, Correct Score (17-Way), HT-FT, Team to Win Either Half, 3-Way Total, and dozens more before you'd need to search for anything unusual.

22Bet Malaysia sportsbook showing UEFA Champions League fixtures with over 1,000 betting markets and Malaysian odds format Ararat vs Armenia Celje carried 1,164 markets when we checked, which was just one of several Champions League fixtures that day showing four figures. The sidebar lists Football at 1,836 events and Esports at 233, with Malaysian odds active throughout.

Another Champions League qualifier we checked carried between 264 and 1,210 markets, with most top fixtures comfortably over 1,000. Ararat vs Armenia Celje alone showed 1,164.

The sportsbooks section covers Malaysian leagues, with all the top European and Asian competitions, and beyond football you'll find tennis, cricket, badminton, handball, darts, basketball, rugby, hockey, motorsports, combat sports, and virtual sports, down to genuinely niche sports like Kabaddi and pickleball.

Odds

Odds are competitive across the main markets, such as 1X2, Asian handicaps, over/under, correct score. A structural note that explains a lot: 22Bet runs on BetB2B, the same betting engine as 1xBet, which is why their odds and market structures often mirror each other. In practice, that means 22Bet odds are in the same range as the sharpest Malaysian-facing books on major fixtures, without us being able to claim it "beats" anyone consistently; odds move by the minute, and the honest comparison is that the differences between the top platforms are small.

From our testing, we didn't find markets where 22Bet was consistently the outlier in either direction, and for most bettors, the deciding factors between 22Bet and 1xBet will be interface preference and bonuses rather than odds markets or casino games.

Betting Limits

The minimum stake is the equivalent of €0.20 (roughly RM 1) per selection. Maximum stakes are set per selection and shown directly on the bet slip, but this varies by sport and event. On a three-leg accumulator we built, the maximum stake was RM 1,960, with an "Automax" toggle available to automatically apply the highest stake the system will accept.

22Bet Malaysia bet slip showing a three-selection accumulator across UEFA Conference League matches in Malaysian odds format A three-leg accumulator we built across the Conference League, with combined odds of -0.115 in Malaysian format, with a maximum stake of RM 1,960 shown on this slip and the option to save the coupon or share it as a bet slip code.

The maximum return is capped at RM 280,000 per bet in general, varying with stake and odds, which is well above what most Malaysian bettors will ever approach, but worth knowing if you play at high stakes.

Live Betting

The live section carries the same depth as pre-match, the common markets plus a long tail of in-play options on every significant fixture, and it's easier to navigate than the platform's density would suggest. The live betting layout is one of the better parts of the interface: clear, quick to move between events, and not overwhelming for newer bettors.

One genuine gap: no live streaming. Competitors like BK8 and 12Play stream matches to logged-in Malaysian customers, and 22Bet doesn't. If you like watching what you bet on or use betting site streams to find matches unavailable elsewhere, which we do regularly, this is the feature that might send you to a competitor.

Cash-Out

Cash-out is available on pre-match and live bets, including parlays. The mechanics are standard: with three legs of a four-leg parlay already won, you can settle for a percentage of the potential return rather than risking the last leg. It's available on live and single bets up to stoppage time.

22Bet Esports Betting

22Bet Malaysia esports lobby showing 143 live events across CS2, Dota 2 and League of Legends with Malaysian odds format 143 live esports events at the time we checked, and CS2 alone spanned five simultaneous tournaments, with odds set to Malaysian format and markets running well beyond the basic winner line.

Esports betting in Malaysia is clearly a priority at 22Bet. During our testing, the live esports lobby carried 143 simultaneous events, with CS2 running five tournaments at once: ESL Challenger League, WL Star Series, CCT Europe Series 6, Winners Series 1x1, and Eternity League, alongside Dota 2 and League of Legends coverage including the KESPA Cup.

The data layer behind it comes from established esports odds suppliers including BetRadar, BetGenius, and EveryMatrix, which is why coverage extends from the biggest international events down to regional competitions year-round. That matters in Malaysia specifically; the country hosts tournaments like eSuperliga and VALORANT Challengers and has produced organizations like Kuala Lumpur Hunters, SEM9, and Orange Esports, so the regional coverage isn't academic.

22Bet TOTO: A Free Daily Prediction Game

TOTO is separate from everything else we tried on 22Bet, and it's worth knowing about because part of it is genuinely free. Each day, 22Bet publishes a 12-match slip, a mix of major football fixtures, and you predict the result (1, X, or 2) for all 12. Get 8 or more right, and you win bonus points, credited to your Promo Code Store account.

The Football jackpot stood at RM 720,219 when we checked.

Correct PredictionsBonus Points

101,000
113,000
127,000

The prediction itself costs nothing, but there's a catch worth knowing before you rely on it: to confirm your free prediction, you need to place a separate bet of at least RM 10.10 at odds of 2.0 or higher before the first TOTO match kicks off. Only your first qualifying bet after making the prediction counts, and bets placed with promo codes, bonus points, or as part of a system bet don't count. You get one prediction per day.

Predictions lock the moment the first match on the slip goes live, and each event shows the percentage of players backing each outcome, a useful context, since correctly predicting a heavy favorite is worth exactly the same as correctly predicting an upset.

One point worth being precise about: TOTO isn't the same product as the Toto lottery Malaysians may already know from elsewhere. This is a free-to-enter football prediction game run by 22Bet, not a numbers lottery, worth clarifying since the name overlaps.

22Bet Casino

The casino side covers RNG games, crash games like Aviator, live dealer tables, and a slots library that runs deep. It's the reason 22Bet qualifies as what we call a one-stop shop, with more on that below.

Live Casino

The live casino lobby carries dozens of dealer tables across the formats Malaysians actually play:

  • Live Roulette with real-time spins across a range of table limits.
  • Live Blackjack with player interaction at the table.
  • Live Baccarat in the classic formats.
  • Live Dragon Tiger the simplified baccarat variant popular across Asia.
  • Live Poker in dedicated live lobbies.

22Bet Malaysia live baccarat table from SA Gaming with RM 5 to RM 500 stake limits A live baccarat table we opened, with stakes running RM 5 to RM 500. The filter bar below shows genre tabs for Roulette, Blackjack, Poker, Dragon Tiger, Speed Games, and a Hindi Style category built for the South Asian market.

Table limits are visible before you sit down at the baccarat table we opened, ranging from RM 5 to RM 500, and the lobby's genre filters go beyond the basics with a Hindi Style category alongside the usual Roulette, Blackjack, Dragon Tiger, and Speed Games tabs, a detail that signals who this live casino is actually built for regionally.

22Bet Malaysia live casino lobby showing Playtech, Evolution, Pragmatic Play and SA Gaming tables with genre and provider filter sidebar The live casino lobby's full filter set, with genre tabs down to Dragon Tiger and Hindi Style, with a scrollable provider checklist including Winfinity, Evolution, SA Gaming, JackTop, Live Vegas, Ezugi and Skywind.

The lobby filters two ways at once. By game type (Roulette, Blackjack, Poker, Baccarat, Dragon Tiger, Speed Games, Game Show, and Hindi Style) and by provider, with a checklist running to Winfinity, Evolution, Pragmatic Play, SA Gaming, Ezugi, Skywind, TVBET, JackTop, HoGaming, Live Vegas, 88MOJO, AmusNet, and Holi among the names we saw. That's a wider mix of Western and Asian studios than most Malaysian-facing live casinos carry, and it's the reason baccarat and Dragon Tiger tables feel like a first-class category here rather than an afterthought.

Evolution deserves its own mention, since it supplies the game shows that anchor most live casino shows: Crazy Time, Monopoly Live, Lightning Roulette, Dream Catcher, Crazy Coin Flip, Balloon Race, Football Studio and more are all present.

22Bet Malaysia live game show Sweet Bonanza CandyLand from Pragmatic Play with 5,172 players and RM 1 to 15,000 stakes Sweet Bonanza CandyLand from Pragmatic Play Live. 5,172 players in this session, stakes from RM 1 to RM 15,000, and a 12x top multiplier landed shortly before we took the picture.

Pragmatic Play Live runs its own game show catalog, and in the picture above you can see the live game show Sweet Bonanza CandyLand, with over 5,000 players at the table and stakes running from RM 1 up to RM 15,000, which is a wider range than most Evolution tables offer.

Table Games

The RNG table games section covers the digital versions at your own pace: European, American, and French Roulette; American and European Blackjack, Pontoon, Vegas Strip, and Blackjack Switch; Texas Hold'em, Omaha, Seven-card stud; Punto Banco and the other baccarat formats. All run on audited Random Number Generators from established suppliers.

Slots

22Bet Malaysia slots lobby on the Popular tab showing 3 Fortune Mummies, Sugar Rush 1000 and Chicken Road 2 with provider filter sidebar The Popular slots tab during our testing. A mix of Pragmatic Play, JILI, and Hacksaw titles, with a provider checklist down the left side rather than a single unsorted grid.

We think the 22Bet slot lobby is genuinely filterable rather than a wall of games, as many other platforms do, but 22Bet has a left sidebar that lets you narrow by provider, with checkboxes for Pragmatic Play, Hacksaw Gaming, Play'n GO, PlaySon, NoLimit City, 3 Oaks, BGaming, Belatra, and dozens more. There's also a dedicated 22Choices tab alongside the usual Hot, New, and Favorites filters, which is worth checking if it turns out to be a curated or exclusive selection.

Rather than listing every provider, the practical takeaway is this: if a slot is available to the Malaysian market, it's very likely here.

Hunting & Fishing Games

22Bet Malaysia Hunting and Fishing category page showing titles including Fishing War, Abyss Dimension and Hell Deep Sea Hunting and Fishing sits as its own top-level menu item, not folded into slots or fast games. Arcade-style shooter games like Fishing War and Abyss Dimension, mostly from KA Gaming.

This is a category most Malaysian-facing operators skip entirely, and 22Bet gives it a full top-level menu spot rather than burying it under slots. The games are arcade-style shooters where you aim and fire at fish or targets rather than spinning reels, with titles like Fishing War, Abyss Dimension, Bombing Fishing, The Deep Monster, Fishing Expedition, and Hell Deep Sea. Most of what we saw came from KA Gaming, a studio that specializes in exactly this genre and is popular specifically across Southeast Asia.

It's a niche category, but its presence at all, with its own navigation tab rather than a filter buried three clicks deep, is one more sign of how deliberately this platform is built for the region.

Scratch Cards: An Unusually Wide Selection on 22Bet

22Bet Malaysia scratch cards section showing provider tiles including Hacksaw Gaming, Caleta Gaming and G Gaming The scratch cards section runs as its own top-level menu item, and not folded into slots, with eight-plus providers on the first screen alone, including Hacksaw Gaming and Caleta Gaming.

Scratch cards get their own top-level navigation item rather than being buried inside slots, which was a genuine surprise, given how few operators bother with the category at all. The provider list alone runs to eight-plus studios, including Hacksaw Gaming, Caleta Gaming, and G Gaming, well beyond the one or two generic titles most sites offer.

Fast Games & Crash Games

The fast games section is worth its own mention given how heavily this category is played in Malaysia: Aviator, JetX, Aviatrix, Zeppelin, Plinko, Mines, and Hi-Lo are all present.

22Bet fast games including JetX, Aviator, Zeppelin and Plinko The fast games section includes JetX, Aviator, Zeppelin, Plinko, Hi-Lo, Mines, and Aviatrix.

Poker on 22Bet

Poker runs directly in the browser or app; no separate client is needed. The honest assessment: it's a decent poker room, and its real value is being part of the platform. If poker is your main game rather than a side interest, a dedicated poker site like GGPoker will serve you better; if you want poker available alongside sports, esports, and the casino, 22Bet's client does the job.

A One-Stop Shop for Malaysian Players

This is 22Bet's structural advantage. Most betting sites offer a sportsbook and casino but skip poker; poker sites skip the sportsbook. 22Bet carries sports, esports, live casino, slots, table games, poker, bingo, scratch cards, lottery, fast games, and TV games on one account, the full one-stop-shop set, which few Malaysian-facing operators genuinely complete.

Mobile Applications

Malaysia is a mobile-first betting market, and 22Bet's answer is a dedicated Android app, installed via APK from the official website (Google Play doesn't carry gambling apps in Malaysia) or by scanning the QR code on the download page. iOS users are served by the mobile browser site.

Beyond convenience, the app is a genuine security measure: phishing clones of betting sites are common in Malaysian search results, and using the official app removes the risk of ever logging into a fake.

Logging In Safely

The biggest practical risk when betting online from Malaysia isn't the operator; it's phishing sites imitating the operator. Two habits remove most of that risk: use the official app, or bookmark the real site after your first visit and only ever log in through the bookmark. All 22Bet links on this page go directly to the official platform.

The login itself supports email/ID and password, social logins via Google, X, and Line, and SMS login, with 2FA prompting for a code if you've enabled it, which we recommend doing on day one.

Licensing & Security

22Bet holds licenses from the Curaçao Gaming Control Board and the Kahnawake Gaming Commission, plus regional licenses in several African markets including Kenya, Nigeria, and Ghana. It holds no Malaysian license, as no offshore operator does, since Malaysia doesn't license online gambling.

Curaçao and Kahnawake are mid-tier regulators, and they confirm the operator exists and enforce game-fairness standards, but offer neither the dispute resolution nor the mandated player protections of top-tier bodies like the MGA or UKGC. Disputes go through 22Bet's own complaint procedure first, with a 10-day filing window, and unresolved cases are heard in the bookmaker's own registered jurisdiction, not Malaysia. The African regional licenses show 22Bet holds up under direct regulatory scrutiny elsewhere, a real positive, but that oversight doesn't extend to Malaysian players.

22Bet offers self-exclusion for 1 month, 6 months, or 1 year, during which your account is fully closed. Reopening requires contacting support after the period ends, and the company decides whether to lift it early, or continuing to gamble under a new account during self-exclusion carries no protection or recourse.

On the platform security side, our testing found what should be there: SSL across the site, working 2FA, and KYC enforced before withdrawals. 22Bet has operated for close to a decade and held a 4.0-star Trustpilot rating when we checked in August 2026.

Malaysia restricts gambling through the Common Gaming Houses Act 1953 and the Betting Act 1953, both written decades before online betting existed. How those laws apply to individuals using offshore sites remains a genuine legal grey area rather than a settled question, and the few legal gambling channels that exist (licensed horse racing and number forecast operators) don't extend to offshore websites.

As we have mentioned numerous times before, we are not lawyers and won't tell you it's risk-free. That's an assessment each reader has to make with current information, and it's why we cover the legal situation in full on our homepage rather than waving it away.

Partners & Brand Ambassadors

Sponsorships don't prove an operator treats players well, but they indicate commercial scale and staying power. 22Bet's ambassador roster leans toward its African markets, which tells you something about where the brand's marketing focus sits:

  • Emmanuel Adebayor is the former Togolese striker (Monaco, Arsenal, Real Madrid, Tottenham), Africa's Footballer of the Year 2008, and an ambassador since 2022.
  • Kevin Kuranyi is the former Schalke 04 and Germany international, with 52 caps for the national team.
  • Khaligraph Jones and Nadia Mukami are leading Kenyan music artists.
  • Spice Diana is an award-winning Ugandan singer-songwriter.

22Bet also runs an open affiliate program where partners earn commission for referred players, which is the standard model across the industry and the same one this site operates under.

Customer Support

Live chat is the primary channel and runs 24/7. In our testing, we were quickly connected to a virtual assistant and then to a human agent, though at some hours the wait for a live agent can stretch, which is worth knowing if you contact support at off-peak times.

22Bet live chat customer support conversation In our live chat test, we got connected to a real support agent after the initial virtual assistant triage.

The practical order to try: the FAQ first (it covers most routine questions), then live chat for anything account-specific. Email and phone exist but are the slow routes; email responses take a while, and we wouldn't rely on getting through by phone.

Interface, Design, and Navigation

We'll be honest about the first impression: the interface is dense, and new users may feel lost in the first sessions. That's partly because the BetB2B platform inherits the same information-heavy layout that 1xBet users know. Within a few hours of use, it stops being a problem, and the underlying navigation is logical: clearly labeled menus, working search filters, and quick movement between the sportsbook, live section, and casino.

The site keeps 22Bet's red-and-green branding on the Malaysian version, and Malay is available in the language dropdown, a detail that matters and that not every Malaysian-facing operator bothers with.

Pros & Cons

Summary and Verdict

22Bet earns its place among the stronger betting sites available to Malaysians through breadth: the full one-stop-shop game library, deep sports and esports markets on a proven engine, and banking that genuinely fits this market. The welcome offers, 100% up to RM 620 for sports, and the casino package up to RM 7,500 + 150 FS, are competitive, with the sports bonus the more realistic pick for most players given its lighter wagering.

The trade-offs are real and worth weighing: no live streaming, mid-tier licensing with limited recourse, and an interface that demands patience early on. For players who want everything on one account and don't need streams, 22Bet is a solid choice. For live-stream bettors or anyone who wants stricter regulatory protection, BK8 or another of the best betting sites in Malaysia may fit better.
