Permissions Requested
This is where the me88 App surprised us, in a good way. After installation, the Android permission manager showed "No permissions allowed". Nothing on. The only entry under "Allowed to keep app working" was Nearby devices, which Android grants for housekeeping features like casting, and everything else sat under "Not allowed".

To be precise about what that screen means: the four items under "Not allowed" are permissions the app declares but was never granted. We were not asked for any of them during install or first login. Here is what each one would do if you switch it on:
- Camera: scanning DuitNow QR codes at the cashier and photographing ID documents for verification. Leave it off until a deposit or KYC step asks for it.
- Location: region checks, which offshore operators use to confirm you are connecting from a country they serve.
- Notifications: push alerts for bets, promos, and odds movement. This one ships off, so the notification features described further down do nothing until you enable it.
- Photos and videos: attaching a saved receipt or screenshot from your gallery, for example, when uploading a deposit receipt.
